lamp is made of stainless steel, it's bendable, and it comes with a
remote control. It's sadly only available in Japan for the time being,

作為全球第五大手機製造商，在遲疑和觀望了一年多之後，新力愛立信終於決定向中國移動靠攏。
昨天，新力愛立信全球 CEO 小宮山英樹在北京透露：“新力愛立信已經和中國移動達成一致意見，將在明年正式推出支援中國自有知識產權的全球 3G 標準的 TD-SCDMA 制式手機。
這是最後一家宣佈支援中國 TD 的全球重要手機企業。早在中國移動承接 TD 建網之初，摩托羅拉、三星以及 LG 就開始進行 TD 手機的研發，目前各自已經至少推出一款 TD 手機，並且在中國移動前兩次的 TD 手機招標中頗有斬獲。
諾基亞最早在 2008 年初宣佈推出 TD 手機，但由於諾基亞投資的 TD 晶片企業凱明意外破產，諾基亞不得不重新開始 TD 的研發，根據其計劃，在今年年底之前，將推出第一款 TD 手機。
由於擁有 4.9 億用戶的中國移動在 3G 時代成為 TD 運營商，這給這些 2G 手機時代佔據優勢的外資手機企業提出了巨大挑戰：如果希望在中國市場繼續獲得成功，就必須重視TD手機，而推出TD手機讓這些國外企業跟中國手機企業不得不從同一起跑線競爭。
之前，新力愛立信和諾基亞一直在WCDMA手機上佔有優勢，三星和 LG 則是 WCDMA 和 CDMA 雙箭齊發。由於TD終端目前仍然不夠成熟，外資手機企業在 TD 手機的投入上相對比較謹慎，但中國手機市場的快速發展讓這些手機巨頭都不能忽略。
7 月 16 日，新力愛立信公佈的第二季度財報顯示，手機銷量銳減 43%，收入下滑 40%，虧損額高達 2.83 億歐元。
在前不久的一次採訪中，中國移動總裁王建宙對 CBN 記者表示，對支援 TD 的手機企業，中國移動的支援態度是明確的，包括拿出 6.5 億元用於聯合研發，雖然諾基亞尚不在其中，但王建宙表示，雙方只是在討論財務細節，同樣有資金支援是毫無疑問的。
現在看來，較晚投入 TD 的新力愛立信本意是希望等待市場成熟之後，“見了兔子再撒鷹”，不過，這同時也讓新力愛立信在中國市場一定程度上喪失了先機。

Well, at least some of the mystery is solved. If a machine translated
source is to be believed -- not to mention a healthy gathering of
screengrabs -- Philips' elusive V808 smartphone will be a China Mobile exclusive. As with other Android-based phones on the operator, it'll be the reworked OPhone OShandling the dirty work, which basically means a carrier-customized app
market and a few other tweaks that seem to be frowned upon in the
Chinese community. We're also told that the phone will lack support for
3G, WiFi and multitouch, leaving us grieved, lugubrious and lachrymose.
C'mon guys -- why hamstring a good thing?

This is about as early and unofficial as it gets, but DigiTimes
is reporting that HP has contracted Quanta to begin production of an
apparently all new 11.6-inch netbook in August, and another new
10.1-inch before the end of the year, which SlashGear rightly
speculates could well be CULV ultralights rather than standard
"netbooks." That's further bolstered by the fact that HP has separately
contracted Inventec to build a revision to its current 10.1-inch
netbook at the end of September. It's not all netbooks and ultralights
for HP, however, as Quanta has also landed a deal to produce some new
15.6- and 17.3-inch laptops, while Compal will be handling HP's new
13.3- and 14-inch enterprise notebooks.

V808 是 Philips 第一支 Android 手機，它備有 3.2吋 HVGA 320 X 480 屏幕、320 萬像素視像鏡頭、支援拍照及拍影片、內建 GPS 等等。以往 Philips 的手機以長命（電池持久力）聞名，但這支 V808 有沒有這優良傳統呢？暫時還不知道。不過從照片中看到這支手機只有簡單的三個按鈕，而且整支黑色的設計，雖然不算很好的設計，但相對 HTC Click 那個弄得有點像山寨機的設計。小編比較喜歡這款超平凡的設計。跳轉還有兩張照片。

released through some carriers may, and we're wondering if this last
minute revision may be the reason for the delayed launch of the Touch
Pro2, though it seems that T-Mobile's version is pretty finalized and
just waiting to be launched in the USA come next month.
Our Australian friends from down under are reporting that their
version of the GSM Touch Pro2 will also feature the 3.5 mm audio out
port. The Australian model will also feature more LBS (location-based
service) services for location-awareness applications.
Another rumor mentions an upgraded Touch HD with a newer version of TouchFLO 3D.

China Unicom recently announced its partnership with the
developers of GyPSii, a mobile social networking app,
in time for its new 3G
service, UniSpace. Currently, 5 million customers in Shanghai are able to
download GyPSii to their devices from UniSpace’s site. After that, Unicom plans
to expand the app’s availability to its 130 million subscribers in
China.
GyPSii is accessible
on a wide variety of mobile platforms, including Windows Mobile. It allows you
to geotag & share media content, locate people and discover new places.
"GyPSii's ability to deliver an all-in-one, location-aware mobile social
networking experience is proving extremely popular in China, with
people using the application to create and share content, as well as connect
with each other across a range of networks and devices," said Mr. Lu Dongliang,
Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Unicom.
GyPSii isn’t just being used
in China, however, it’s being used
worldwide on many mobile devices. In fact, Samsung’s WiMAX enabled Windows Mobile MID is said to come

從周四開始，iPhone 使用者只要連上 m.google.com/latitude，就可以存取
Google Latitude，這個 Google 追蹤朋友的功能。Latitude 會在 Google Maps 上表示朋友的圖片，當他們想要把他們的位置分享給你的時候。
周四早上，在 Google 官方宣佈之前，有些CNET的同事就已經發現可以試用 Google 網頁版的 iPhone 專用 Latitude。
